Skyler Javier of Native Danger

While not working for the fire department, Skyler Javier is the designer behind the Washington D.C. based clothing line Native Danger. I have known Skyler for a while now, and it has been great watching his growth as an artist. I greatly admire his work and what he has accomplished thus far with Native Danger. The passion he has for designing and the successes he has experienced are a huge inspiration for me. It only felt appropriate to ask if he would be willing to sit for a portrait.

It was obvious that the best place to shoot his portrait was at his studio space where he works and also lives. I absolutely love getting to photograph people in their environment. In my opinion, it tells such a stronger story about the person and always leaves the viewer wanting to know more about the person.
